Draa Valley is the most beautiful road in Morocco and the most winding. The valley of the Draa River spans more than 100 kilometers between Ouarzazate and the gates of the desert.

It is a very green valley with date palms. You can walk through the palm grove; it is enjoyable because the temperature is lower than on the road due to the shadow of the palms. There is also not so much dust, and you can rest with your feet in the water if you want. There are many paths to walk, which people take to cultivate their fields, tend cattle, goats, and sheep, and return home. You can see the Ksar on the riverbank; these impressive fortifications defended the region.

It recommends doing this route to M’Hamid, where you will reach the dunes area. A wild and authentic desert. Of course, a road with more than 150 km takes us to Zagora. Although the Wadi Draa begins in Ouarzazate, it remains invisible for 60 km, cutting its way through the earth’s crust. From Agdz, the river discoveries and the palm groves begin. This village marks the true beginning of the Draa Valley. To get to Agdz and, therefore, the Draa Valley, you have to take the winding road from Ouarzazate to Zagora, possibly the most beautiful in all of Morocco.

If the landscape is arid and barren until reaching Agdz, the result is truly unique. The palm groves and cultivated fields stretch to infinity, surrounded by pretty villages and adobe Kasbah. These mud, straw, and water houses stand high on the infertile land overlooking the palm grove.
