Tetouan is a lovely city in northern Morocco, in the Rif Mountains, close to the coast of the Mediterranean Sea. To get to Tetouan, these are the main ways:

From Tangier

There are grand cabs that can take you to Tetouan quickly. They share cab stands and pick up and drop off passengers. Prices can change, but most people pay between 50 and 100 MAD. Tangier to Tetouan is easy to get to by bus. These cars are run by CTM or businesses in the area. You can get on them at the Tangier bus stop for a small fee. It takes about 1.5 hours to get there. You can either take the N2 road or the A6 highway to get there by car. The drive is lovely because it goes through the green Rif Mountains.

From Chefchaouen

Grand cabs cost between 40 and 70 MAD per person to get to Tetouan. Between Chefchaouen and Tetouan, daily buses (CTM and others) run. It takes between 1.5 and 2 hours to get there.

from Casablanca or Rabat

You can also take a direct bus from Rabat or Casablanca to Tetouan. These take longer, but they are a choice. You can take this trip with companies like CTM and Supratours.

From Ceuta in Spain

From the south of Spain, you can take a boat from Algeciras or Tarifa to Ceuta, a Spanish outpost. From there, you can cross the border into Morocco. Grand cabs can take you to Tetouan from the border. The 40-minute trip costs between 40 and 60 MAD per person.
